Sarnia House is a small family business established in 2019 to publish non-fiction books.
As a ‘micro’ publisher it was formed initially to publish texts by its founders, Colin de la Rue and his daughter May; but it plans to give a voice to others as well, making the most of advantages which small independents enjoy.
Our focus is influenced by Colin’s experience of legal publishing, as a practising lawyer writing, editing and promoting professional texts. A particular goal is publication of print books produced to high standards with similar attention to detail.
While our approach has some things in common with self-publishing, our emphasis is not on publishing by authors but on teamwork between them and industry professionals.
We operate through the usual book data and trade distribution channels – further information can be seen under Books.
Sarnia House is a trading name of Sarnia House LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales at Companies House (registered number: OC428694). Registered Office: 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX.
